Corewell Health Plans $1.7B Hospital Campus Expansions In Grand Rapids And Troy, Michigan

Corewell Health (Grand Rapids, Mich.) is planning $1.7 billion in expansions at two hospital campuses in Grand Rapids and Troy, Mich., according to fiercehealthcare.com.

The larger of the two projects will comprise an 11-story, 780,000-square-foot tower at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. The new tower will house an emergency department (ED), 180 private patient rooms, 17 operating rooms, and a hyperbaric chamber.

The second project, at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital in Troy, will add an 8-story tower with 180 private patient rooms and an ED.

Both projects are scheduled to begin construction in summer 2027, with completion targeted for 2030.
