Council Considers Restaurant Property For Medical Office
New developments could be on the horizon for a vacant property in Park Ridge, Ill., after members of the City Council considered a medical office for the former Bailey’s Restaurant property at Cumberland and Touhy Avenues.
According to an article in the Park Ridge Herald-Advocate, the property will need to be rezoned if a commercial development is pursued. Reporter Jennifer Johnson writes: “City staff have engaged in ‘pre-application’ discussions with a medical group interested in building medical offices on the site…Formal plans have not been submitted, but the proposed building currently stands at two stories and an office use would comply with the property’s business zoning classification.” The property has reportedly been empty for about a decade.
