Dosher Memorial Hospital in Southport, N.C., is planning to debut a new emergency department (ED) this winter, according to wect.com.
The 8,000-square-foot project is double the size of the hospital’s existing ED and is designed to boost patient capacity and improved staff workflow, according to a news release from the hospital last year.
The new ED is part of the first phase of a seven-year master facility plan for the hospital that also includes expanding the pharmacy and lab.
