Encompass Health Corp. (Birmingham, Ala.), an owner and operator of rehabilitation hospitals is planning to build a 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Johnston, R.I.
The project, expected to open in 2024, is Encompass Health’s first hospital in Rhode Island.
The hospital will feature all-private patient rooms, a spacious therapy gym, activities of daily living suite, cafeteria, pharmacy, and therapy courtyard.
Treatments will address a range of illnesses and injuries, including strokes and other neurological disorders, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions, as well as physical, occupational. and speech therapies.
