Geisinger Health (Danville, Pa.) opened a newly renovated inpatient nursing unit at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital in Lewistown, Pa., according to The (Lewistown) Sentinel.

The project represents the third of four construction phases to increase the number of private rooms at the hospital from 43 to 61.

The new unit, known as 3B, serves patients who require immediate medical attention for serious or urgent conditions but do not need intensive care or surgery. Updated private rooms in the unit feature improved infection control and new technology.
