Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Network (Allentown, Pa.) broke ground today on a new rehabilitation hospital in Center Valley, Pa.

Situated on 45 acres, the new four-story, 123,000-square-foot hospital will include 76 private patient beds and will treat complex medical conditions, such as stroke, spinal cord injury, and brain injury. An experience center and outdoor therapy area and activity gardens that will include green space and trails are also planned.

The project team comprises FCA (Francis Cauffman Architects; architect; Philadelphia), IMC Construction (construction; Malvern, Pa.), Pennoni (engineering consultant; Philadelphia), KRN Development (land developer; Memphis, Tenn.), and Pure Project Management (project manager; Philadelphia).

The hospital is slated to open in early 2023.
