Global design practice HDR has promoted Amy Mays to the newly created position of health director, interiors, based in the firm’s New York studio, according to a news release.
Mays brings more than 25 years of experience to the role, including more than 12 years in HDR’s New York studio. Her most recent project is The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center University Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, which is set to open in 2026.
In her new role, she will focus on strengthening client relationships and leading project teams.
Mays received the 2025 Leadership Award of Excellence from the New York chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and is a past president of the chapter.
