HDR Promotes Griffin To Managing Principal In Seattle

In his new role, Duncan Griffin will grow the architecture studio and focus on Triple Net Zero and Net Positive environments for the firm's civic, healthcare, and science/education buildings.

Duncan Griffin, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, has been promoted to managing principal of HDR’s Seattle architecture studio. Previously a sustainability principal, Griffin been with HDR since May 2016.

Griffin’s responsibilities include growing the Seattle architecture practice, with an emphasis on areas such as Triple Net Zero (energy, water, waste) and even Net Positive environments for HDR’s complex civic, healthcare and science/education buildings.

In the past, he collaborated with the Integrated Design Lab and Solarc Energy Group in Seattle to research ideal solutions for energy reduction in hospitals.
