Healthcare Design has named Platinum, Gold, and Silver winners in the 2026 HCD Interior Design Competition.
The annual competition celebrates healthcare design projects that demonstrate excellence in interior design, as judged by a panel of experts.
Taking the top Platinum award this year is Frist Health Center in Princeton, N.J., submitted to the competition by WRNS Studio (New York). Rady Children’s Health Orange County in Orange, Calif., is the Gold winner for its Southwest Tower, submitted by CannonDesign (Los Angeles); and the Mayo Clinic’s Integrated Oncology Building in Jacksonville, Fla., submitted by Perkins&Will (Coral Gables, Fla.), wins Silver.
Additionally, eight projects were named finalists:
- City of Hope Orange County Cancer Specialty Hospital (Irvine, Calif.), submitted by HOK (Los Angeles)
- Cook Family Health Education and Learning (HEAL) Wellness Center (The Woodlands, Texas), submitted by Page, now Stantec (Plano, Texas)
- Cooper Green Mercy Health Multidisciplinary Clinic (Birmingham, Ala.), submitted by Gresham Smith
- The Behavioral Health Center at Intermountain Health Primary Children’s Hospital – Taylorsville (Taylorsville, Utah), submitted by HDR (Cottonwood Heights, Utah)
- Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Nemours Children’s Hospital (Wilmington, Del.), submitted by HDR
- Mayo Clinic’s bed tower expansion (Jacksonville, Fla.), submitted by Perkins&Will
- Nicklaus Children’s Hospital (Miami), submitted by Perkins&Will
- Renown South Meadows Specialty Care Center (Reno), submitted by Perkins&Will
The Platinum, Gold, and Silver winners will be featured in the May issue of Healthcare Design. All projects submitted will be showcased in a special e-book available for download in May.
