Hospital operator HealthPartners (Bloomington, Minn.) received approval from the Stillwater City Council to build a replacement hospital for the HealthPartners Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, Minn., according to finance-commerce.com.
The $400 million project comprises a 6-story, 400,000-square-foot campus that will be twice as large as the existing hospital and house 97 patient beds, a family birth center, and specialty centers for heart and cancer care.
The facility will also include an orthopedic clinic, same-day imaging, urgent care, and enhanced critical care and emergency capabilities.
The project team will include design architects HKS (Chicago) and BWBR (St. Paul, Minn.), and construction manager Kraus-Anderson (Minneapolis).
Construction is expected to begin this summer, and the hospital is scheduled to open in early 2028.
