CaroMont Regional Medical Center Plans New Patient Tower In North Carolina

A new critical care patient tower is planned for CaroMont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, N.C., according to an article in the Gaston Gazette.

The 146,000-square-foot tower will feature four floors, with three planned for immediate use and one for future development.. Each floor will include 26 private ICU-level patient rooms, centralized nurses’ stations, and administrative areas.

The project, which is slated to open in 2023, is part of CaroMont Health’s $350 million investment plan in Gaston County, including a new hospital campus adjacent to Belmont Abbey College (Belmont, N.C.).
