Intermountain Healthcare To Convert Former Department Store Into New Hospital

Nonprofit Intermountain Healthcare (Salt Lake City) plans to renovate a former 1947-era Sears store into a new hospital in Salt Lake City, according to the website sltrib.com.

The new facility will replace Intermountain’s aging LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City.

Intermountain Healthcare merged with SCL Health (Broomfield, Colo.) and operates a combined network of 33 hospitals and approximately 385 clinics primarily across Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Colorado, and Kansas.
