Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital Opens Expressive Therapy Room In Lehi, Utah

The new facility combines music, art, and dance/movement in a space dedicated to the memory of Utah musician and hospital volunteer Sophie Barton, who died at age 17.

Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital (Salt Lake City, Utah) opened Sophie’s Place, a music therapy room, at the Larry H. & Gail Miller Family Campus in Lehi, Utah, according to a news release.

The new facility combines music, art, and dance/movement in a space dedicated to the memory of Utah musician and hospital volunteer Sophie Barton, who died at age 17. Patients have access to a piano, drums, guitars, microphones, a dedicated recording studio, and spaces for art and dance.
