Intermountain Health (Salt Lake City) has reached a construction milestone on the new Intermountain St. Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Mont., according to ktvq.com.

Vertical, structural steel construction has started on the 14-story, 737,000-square-foot replacement hospital and is expected to be completed in early 2027.

The project, which is scheduled for completion in 2029, will house 243 patient beds with rooms featuring a universal design and flexibility to convert to more intensive care-level needs.

The project team includes HDR (designer; Billings, Mont.) and Layton Construction (general contractor; Sandy, Utah).
