Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital Breaks Ground On New Pediatric Center In Wesley Chapel, Florida

The 56-room pediatric hospital will focus on specialized care and include a 16-room ED, four ORs, an infusion center, sleep laboratory, and inpatient and outpatient rehab.

Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (St. Petersburg, Fla.) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on a new pediatric center in Wesley Chapel, Fla., according to suncoastnews.com.

The 56-room pediatric hospital will focus on specialized care and include a 16-room emergency department (ED), four operating rooms (ORs), an infusion center, sleep laboratory, and inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. The second floor of the facility will house a 25,000-square-foot outpatient care center with 36 rooms.

The project will be part of a 176-acre mixed-use development that will include multifamily units and retail. The hospital will span 365,000 square feet.

Construction is expected to be completed in 2027.
