Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital Poised To Expand In Memphis, Tennessee

The $94 million project will add 14 NICU beds, a 31-bed cardiovascular unit, and family waiting room.

Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. is planning a $94 million expansion, according to the website wreg.com.

The 128,000-square-foot project will add 14 new beds to the existing 60-bed neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), a 31-bed cardiovascular unit, and new MRI-guided catheterization labs, as well as expand surgery recovery areas and convert 12 beds to critical care.

Larger step-down unit patient rooms, a family waiting room, and courtyard are also in the works.

The expansion is slated for completion by early summer.
