Madison Hospital, located in Madison, Ala., plans to roll out three projects in 2017 that should reduce ER wait times while increasing imaging capabilities.
Construction will soon be under way on two new Emergency Department exam rooms – the fourth ER expansion in five years. Madison Hospital opened with 12 exam rooms; previous expansions pushed that to 20 rooms.
The hospital also is adding a second Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in its ground-floor Imaging Department, and installing a second nuclear medicine camera.
