Mercy Hospital Springfield in Springfield, Mo., broke ground on a new emergency department (ED), according to the website news-leader.com.
The ED will be situated adjacent to the existing Mercy Orthopedic Hospital Springfield. Both facilities are part of Mercy healthcare system.
The project is slated to open in 2025.
