Mercy Hospital Wentzville Breaks Ground In Missouri

The acute care hospital will house 75 inpatient beds, a 26-bed ED with two trauma areas, and four behavioral health rooms.

Health system Mercy (St. Louis) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on the new Mercy Hospital Wentzville in Wentzville, Mo., according to a news release.

On a 60-acre site, the acute care hospital will house 75 inpatient beds, a 26-bed emergency department (ED) with two trauma areas, and four behavioral health rooms.

The facility will provide surgical, cardiovascular, cancer, orthopedic, imaging, and diagnostic services.

The project marks Missouri’s first brand-new acute care hospital campus in nearly a decade, according to the news release.
