Methodist Healthcare (San Antonio, Texas) has started construction on a $200 million renovation and expansion of Methodist Hospital Metropolitan in San Antonio, according to a news release.

The project will consist of a vertical expansion, operating room (OR) renovations, and a new 969-space parking garage.

The expansion will add two floors atop the existing Women’s Pavilion to house 42 new medical/surgical beds, 16 intensive care unit (ICU) beds, and three ORs.
