Methodist Hospital Northeast Breaks Ground On $146M Patient Tower In Live Oak, Texas

Methodist Healthcare (San Antonio) held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on a new patient tower at Methodist Hospital Northeast in Live Oak, Texas, according to a news release.

The $146 million project comprises a 3-story, 100,000-square-foot tower that will connect to the existing hospital on all three floors and expand inpatient capacity.

The tower will add 14 critical care beds and 64 medical/surgical beds. As part of the project, all existing dual-occupancy inpatient rooms will be converted to private rooms. The expansion also includes enlarged support spaces, such as a modernized kitchen and dining area.
