Moffitt Cancer Center (Tampa, Fla.) celebrated two construction milestones at its new global research park, named Speros FL, in Pasco County, Fla., according to a news release.
The 775-acre project installed the final steel beam atop the Moffitt Discovery & Innovation Center and lifted a 55-ton cyclotron into the vault at the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Proton Therapy Center.
The Moffitt Discovery & Innovation Center, scheduled to open in mid-2026, will house 250,000 square feet of dedicated research space, including wet labs, conference rooms, and collaborative workspaces. Research programs will include bioengineering, molecular oncology, tumor microenvironments, and cell and gene therapy.
The new proton therapy center will be located in a 120,000-square-foot outpatient clinic and is expected to open in mid-2026.
