Montfort Hospital, located in Ottawa, Canada, officially launched its Institut du savoir Montfort (ISM), Institute of Knowledge, on Friday. It is one of two Ontario hospital institutes, and the only French-speaking hospital, that directly associates research and education.
The ISM offers placement and support services for more than 1,300 trainees, students and residents, and continuing vocational training for more than 2,000 employees and 300 doctors.
A research program and a clinical research laboratory support more than 75 researchers and clinicians, and includes a simulation laboratory.
