The Muscogee (Creek) Nation held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new behavioral health facility in Okmulgee, Okla., according to an article in mvskokemedia.com

Situated on 26 acres, the 6,000-square-foot facility includes prevention and treatment services for mental health and substance abuse, family counseling, trauma, and suicide, as well as education resources. Future plans include adding a therapeutic playground for younger patients.

Ground broke on the facility in spring 2021 and was funded by a Indian Health Service Small Ambulatory Grant and the Muscogee Nation.
