Nemours Children’s Health (Wilmington, Del.) has opened the new Outpatient Services and Day Hospital for pediatric outpatient and specialty care in Wilmington, according to a news release.
The 20,000-square-foot facility features a care-to-chair delivery model, in which patients stay in one room while specialists are brought to them, rather than having to move throughout the hospital for treatment.
The opening marks the completion of the second phase of the Lisa Dean Moseley Foundation Institute for Cancer and Blood Disorders project, which includes a 24-bed inpatient unit that opened in March.
