New Addition Opens At Howard County General Hospital

Howard County General Hospital in Columbia, Md., completed a 50,000-square-foot, two-story addition.

The new addition includes a new emergency room entrance, inpatient psychiatric unit, and observation unit.

Other hospital renovations include a new emergency room entrance, with waiting and additional triage evaluation areas, a new and expanded inpatient psychiatric unit, and a 23-bed observation unit adjacent to the emergency room.

The new addition and renovations totaled approximately $48 million.
