UNM Regents Approve Planning For New Hospital
According to “Albuquerque Journal,” the University of New Mexico’s Health Sciences Center received approval to hire an architect for the initial planning stages of a 120-bed hospital and clinical office building that is expected to cost up to $250 million.
There is potential for the project to become a 408 bed hospital with 48 beds designated for adult psychiatric care. More approvals are necessary and if the project proceeds as planned, the first phase is slated to open in 2022.
