A $225 million expansion and renovation is nearing completion as NorthBay Healthcare ties up loose ends on its 77,000-square-foot, three-story NorthBay Medical Center addition. As reported in the North Bay Business Journal, the expansion is set to open next month as a level II trauma center in Fairfield, Calif.

Reporter Cheryl Sarfaty writes: “The earlier phases included expanding and renovating the emergency department, as well as building a new welcome pavilion. The new north wing includes an additional 22 beds — bringing the hospital’s total number of beds to 154—eight state-of-the-art surgical suites, a 16-bed post-anesthesia care unit, diagnostic imaging services, and a new 6,000-square-foot kitchen and café.”
