Northeast Georgia Health System Plans Multistory Tower Addition

Plans call for relocating the existing ED and adding 150 new inpatient beds.

Northeast Georgia Health System (Gainesville, Ga.) is planning a new multistory tower at its Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

The tower will be located next to an existing patient tower. Plans include moving and expanding the existing emergency department (ED) to the ground floor of the new tower and adding a new helipad, more operating rooms, 150+ new inpatient care beds, and parking deck.

The project is slated for completion in early 2024.
