The first phase of the Northern Arizona Healthcare Health and Wellness Village in Flagstaff, Ariz., is moving forward, according to the website azcentral.com.
The project will replace the aging Flagstaff Medical Center, a Level 1 trauma facility. (For more on the Health and Wellness Village, go here.)
The first phase of the plan includes construction of a 700,000-square-foot hospital, ambulatory care center, and additional medical office buildings (MOBs).
The second phase will bring housing, healthcare-focused retail, restaurants, and a hotel.
The $800 million project is slated for completion in 2027.
