Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, Ga, held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the start of construction on a new patient tower, according to a news release.
The project will build a 6-story, 260,000-square-foot tower to house 96 inpatient rooms, as well as renovate 57,000 square feet of existing space. A larger emergency department, new lab and pharmacy, and a parking deck with 500 spaces will be a separate part of the project.
Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2028.
The hospital is also building a new 4-story, 120,000-square-foot medical office building (MOB), expected to be completed this fall.
