Novant Health Plans New Medical Center In Leland, North Carolina

Novant Health (Winston-Salem, N.C.) is planning to expand with a new hospital in Leland, N.C., according to wect.com.

Certificate of Need (CON) applications have been submitted for Novant Health Leland Medical Center, which will house 20 beds, a 24/7 emergency department (ED) with 10 observation beds, five procedure rooms, and imaging services.

Novant Health is targeting a 2030 opening for the new hospital.

Additionally, the healthcare system is planning a freestanding ED in Carolina Shores, N.C., and an expansion of Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, N.C., that will include a larger MRI facility and a new cardiac catheterization lab.
