Oak Valley Health Begins Early Works Construction On Uxbridge Hospital Redevelopment In Ontario, Canada

The new medical campus will include a hospital with 31 beds and expanded diagnostic imaging, cardiorespiratory, lab, and pharmacy services.

Oak Valley Health (Markham, Ontario, Canada) and contractor PCL Construction (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) have started early work construction, including site preparation, for the redevelopment of Uxbridge Hospital in Uxbridge, Ontario, according to a news release.

The new medical campus will include a hospital with 31 beds and expanded diagnostic imaging, cardiorespiratory, lab, and pharmacy services. The project will increase access to inpatient, emergency, and ambulatory services. Also on the site will be a new 192-bed long-term care home, according to Canada.constructconnect.com.

Completion of the project is expected in 2028 with the new hospital opening to patients in 2029.
