Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips Hospital has unveiled its new $20 million expansion on the hospital’s fifth floor. The expansion was designed to provide additional space and enhance the quality of care for surgical patients.

The project involved building out 42,000 square feet of existing shell space to increase the total number of hospital beds from 237 to 285. The expansion also adds a classroom for patient and family education and a rehabilitation gym.

Project team members include HKS (architect; Dallas) and Barton Malow Co. (general contractor; Southfield, Mich.).
