Orthopedic Associates of Hartford (OAH) is set to open its new Rocky Hill Surgery Center in Rocky Hill, Conn. The approximately $30 million facility replaces the former OAH Rocky Hill location.

OAH surgeons and surgeons from the Hand Center will perform shoulder, knee, and hip replacements, spine surgery, shoulder and knee arthroscopy, hand, wrist, elbow, foot, and ankle surgery, and interventional pain procedures. The majority of procedures that were previously done in an inpatient facility will now be performed in an outpatient setting.

The 48,000-square-foot outpatient surgical center has a level dedicated to surgery, featuring seven extra-large operating rooms and a procedure room, and a lower level of office suites and physical therapy.
