Oswego Hospital Plans $14M Renovation And Expansion In Oswego, New York

The project will include a centralized lobby, ED expansion with dedicated pediatric and behavioral health beds, and a modernized imaging department on the first floor.

Oswego Health (Oswego, N.Y.) is planning a $14 million renovation and expansion of Oswego Hospital in Oswego, according to a news release.

Construction is expected to begin soon on the project, which will address needs for streamlined patient circulation via a new centralized lobby, as well as a larger emergency department (ED) and modernized imaging department.

The ED will grow from 17 to 20 beds, including three beds dedicated to pediatric patients, two beds that can be used for all types of patients including mental health, and a flexible group area for behavioral health stabilization.

A new imaging department on the first floor will include a new CT scanner and new rooms for X-ray, mammography, bone density, ultrasound, and echocardiograms.

The project also will add a family quiet room, updated staff lounges and on-call rooms, and renovated public waiting areas and restrooms.
