Pikeville Medical Center (Pikeville, Ky.) broke ground on a children’s hospital in Pikesville, according to an article in Becker’s Hospital Review.

The hospital will treat patients from birth to 18 years and will include a 10-bed inpatient unit, 13 pediatric exam rooms, and a children’s waiting area and playroom.

Construction is expected to take less than 18 months.
