Pine Rest, BHSH To Open Pediatric Behavioral Health Center Of Excellence

Grand Rapids, Mich.-based Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services (Grand Rapids, Mich.) and BHSH System’s Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital are partnering to open a pediatric behavioral health center in Grand Rapids, according to the website grbj.com.

Situated at Pine Rest’s 220-acre campus, the $62 million Pediatric Behavioral Health Center of Excellence will enable the provider to increase its inpatient bed count from 36 to 88 for patients with high-acuity, developmentally disabled, and pediatric co-occurring (mental illness/substance use) disorder needs.

The facility is scheduled to open in late 2024.
