Texas Health and Human Services Commission (Austin, Texas) and Hill Country Mental Health and Development Disabilities Centers are partnering on a new behavioral health campus in Uvalde, Texas.

Located on seven acres, the project includes two buildings totaling 50,000 square feet.

The new inpatient and outpatient behavioral health care facility will house a 16-bed crisis unit for adults and a 16-bed unit for children and adolescents, according to a news release from the Texas governor’s office.

Texas Health and Human Services Commission is overseeing construction and  Hill Country Mental Health and Development Disabilities Centers will be the operator.

Construction is set to begin in summer 2024 and be completed in summer 2025.
