Prisma Health To Begin Construction On Expansion Of Greer Memorial Hospital In South Carolina

The project will add 93 beds, a pediatric unit, and cardiology unit, while expanding emergency, intensive care, surgical, and labor and delivery departments.

Prisma Health (Greenville, S.C.) is set to start construction on an expansion of Greer Memorial Hospital in Greer, S.C., according to The (Greenville) Post and Courier.

A $250 million project will add 93 beds, a pediatric unit, and cardiology unit, while more than doubling the size of emergency, intensive care, surgical, and labor and delivery departments. This will include a new, 3-story tower adding 110,000 square feet to the existing hospital. Construction is expected to be completed by early 2028.

Also part of the project is a new $100 million medical office building (MOB) will also be built directly across from the hospital and house specialty services such as urology, primary care, neurology, pediatrics, and ear, nose and throat.

Construction is expected to begin early next year and be completed by the middle of 2027.
