Roane General Hospital (Spencer, W. Va.) is planning a $23 million expansion and renovation, according to an article in WCHS

The 40,000-square-foot expansion project will include attaching a two-story medical office building to the existing hospital. A cafe, fitness center, and pool with an underwater treadmill are also included in the plan.

The project also calls for 20,000 square feet of interior renovations including new paint, flooring, ceilings, and lighting. In addition, a lab will be moved to another side of the hospital to allow the emergency department to expand and create more private rooms.

The project is slated for completion in summer 2021.
