Royal Papworth Hospital in London has completed construction and opened to the public.

The new 300-bed heart and lung facility on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus includes an outpatient atrium consolidating testing, imaging, and the day wards. The design creates separate zones for ambulatory or outpatient care, emergency services, diagnostic and treatment functions.

A parkland setting surrounds the building and features open, green spaces organised around a new duck pond.

Royal Papworth has been built with the capacity to expand by approximately 118,000 feet.
