Sanford Health (Sioux Falls, S.D.) has delayed construction on a new $46 million heart and vascular center in Fargo, N.D., according to the website inforum.com.

The new center was expected to break ground this past spring, but has been paused due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. A new construction timeline will be determined as plans progress.

The outpatient facility is slated to be built adjacent to the Sanford Medical Center and will house services related to Sanford’s Heart Center of Excellence, which is located at Sanford’s Broadway Medical Center campus in Fargo.
