Sarasota Memorial Hospital Plans Behavioral Health Replacement Facility
Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Fla., is planning a behavioral health pavilion on the hospital’s main campus in Sarasota.
The 82-bed, 95,000-square-foot project will replace the hospital’s aging 1970s-era facility, located across the street, and aims to centralize inpatient and outpatient care.
The pavilion will house four dedicated inpatient units, including an 18-bed geriatric unit, a 20-bed acute care unit, a 22-bed adult unit, and a 22-bed child and adolescent unit. A separate outpatient area will house the hospital’s existing partial hospitalization program, intensive outpatient program, electroconvulsive therapy, and outpatient counseling services.
Gresham Smith (Tampa, Fla.) will be the designer on the project.
