Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice in Venice, Fla., part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (Sarasota, Fla.), opened a five-story patient tower in Sarasota.

The five-story Northeast Tower includes 68 private patient rooms; two upper floors will each add 34 patient rooms. The fourth floor will serve as a larger, dedicated unit for cardiac patients, while the fifth floor will be dedicated for the growing volume of orthopedic patients.

The ground level houses space for future support services and additional patient care, while the third level is an interstitial space for mechanical systems.
