Nonprofit healthcare system SCL Health (Broomfield, Colo.) is planning a $650 million replacement hospital in Wheat Ridge, Colo., according to an article in The Colorado Sun.

The new facility will provide emergency and critical care services and will be built 3.5 miles from the organization’s Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge. The new hospital will be built on a 28-acre site and Lutheran Medical Center’s facilities, except hospice, will also move to the site.
