Sentara Cancer Center In Norfolk, Va., Marks Construction Milestone

The $93.5 million building is slated to be completed in 2020 and will centralize outpatient oncology services.

Sentara Cancer Center celebrated the topping out of its $93.5 million building in Norfolk, Va.

The ceremony marked the placing of the final steel beam on the structure before interior finishing begins.

The new center will centralize outpatient oncology services and bring together care teams from Sentara Medical Group, Eastern Virginia Medical School , Virginia Oncology Associates, and other community physicians.

Sentara will continue to provide multidisciplinary cancer care at existing Hampton Roads locations. The project is expected to be completed in mid-2020.
