Southeast Vermont Medical Center in Bennington, Vt., plans to build a $21 million addition to the cancer center on its campus, according to vermontpublic.org.
The 11,300-square-foot addition will increase the number of exam rooms from six to 12, expand the number of infusion treatment spaces from nine to 16, and add a pharmacy, according to a certificate of need (CON) filed by the hospital.
The CON states that the existing cancer center was constructed in 1995 and has not undergone upgrades.
Project plans also include collocating chemotherapy and medical infusion and providing two dedicated consult spaces for the palliative care team.
