Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Plans $325M Heart & Vascular Hospital In South Carolina

The project comprises 90 acute care beds for acute care, 14 for coronary care, and 24 for catheterization lab pre-procedure and post-recovery.

Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System (Spartanburg, S.C.) is investing $325 million to build a new Heart & Vascular Hospital adjacent to the existing Spartanburg Regional Heart Center in Spartanburg, according to a news release.

The 240,996-square-foot hospital will include 90 acute care beds, 14 coronary care beds, and 24 catheterization lab pre-procedure and post-recovery beds. The project will also create a cardiovascular recovery unit and expand procedural and diagnostic testing space.

A new interior entrance road, additional parking, and a new power plant will be constructed on the existing campus.

The new hospital will be completed in phases and is expected to open in 2030.
