St. Joseph’s Hospital North (Lutz, Fla.) opened a new neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) on its campus in Lutz, according to baynews9.com.

The nearly 5,500-square-foot project provides specialized treatment for babies born prematurely, underweight or with other special health needs. The unit also includes two couplet care rooms to allow mothers and babies to recover together after a birth.
